In der Mittagspause geht es in die Nürnberger Altstadt zum Hauptmarkt. Der Platz bietet mit dem Schönen Brunnen und den Ständen viel zu sehen. Für alle, die nicht dabei waren, wird Nürnberger Lebkuchen gekauft. Die historische Atmosphäre lädt zu einer kurzen Pause ein, bevor wir zurückkehren. Nach der Pause setzen wir das Audit zügig fort, da wir noch am selben Tag die Heimreise antreten wollen. Die Nachmittagssitzungen laufen planmäßig, und das Audit wird abgeschlossen. Auf der Rückfahrt geraten wir in viel Stau, was die Heimreise verzögert. Zum Glück ist Proviant an Bord. Nachdem ich meinen Co-Auditor abgesetzt habe, komme ich abends zu Hause an. die beiden Tage sind eine Kombination aus strukturiertem Audit und einem kurzen Einblick in Nürnbergs Traditionen. Tradition and Technology: ISO 27001 Audit and Gingerbread in Nuremberg

I set off with the audit team to Nuremberg, where the second surveillance audit according to ISO/IEC 27001 is scheduled. As the lead auditor, I coordinate the processes and ensure the audit plan is followed. The company we are auditing develops software solutions for long-term energy management, climate protection, and environmental sustainability. To save time on-site, we split up according to the audit plan and conduct parallel audits. The teamwork proceeds as planned, discussions are factual, and the audit is executed as intended.

During the lunch break, we head to Nuremberg’s old town to the main market square. The square, with the Beautiful Fountain and market stalls, offers plenty to see. For those who couldn’t join, we buy Nuremberg gingerbread. The historic atmosphere invites a brief pause before we return. After the break, we continue the audit at a brisk pace, as we plan to start the journey home the same day. The afternoon sessions proceed as scheduled, and the audit is completed. On the return trip, we encounter heavy traffic, delaying the journey. Fortunately, we have provisions on board. After dropping off my co-auditor, I arrive home in the evening. The two days combine structured auditing with a brief glimpse into Nuremberg’s traditions. I thank the team and the company for the cooperation and look forward to future projects.
